Travel isn't about checking as many places as possible off a list. And it definitely isn't about spending money just so your vacation looks impressive on social media. It's about the stories you bring home.
Stay in the castle when the castle is worth it. Sleep above the cozy pub when that's where the experience is. Order the incredible dinner. Drink the local wine. Learn the history and talk to people. Take the road you weren't planning to take.
And sometimes? Do absolutely nothing. Sit outside. Order another glass of wine. Watch the world go by.
You came all this way. Give yourself time to actually be there.

I love old cities, great food, neighborhood pubs, history, road trips and figuring out what's around the next corner. I'll happily splurge on an unforgettable castle hotel one night and stay in a cozy little B&B the next. For me, luxury isn't about showing off. It's about having an experience worth remembering.
