POPULAR CROATIA ITINERARIES 🇭🇷

ROAD TRIP IT. LET SOMEBODY ELSE DRIVE IT. OR GET ON THE DAMN BOAT.

There isn't one right way to do Croatia—and that's half the fun.

These are three very different ways to experience the country. Grab your people and see a hell of a lot of Croatia, let private transfers handle the logistics while you travel independently, or unpack once and island-hop the Adriatic by small ship.

PICK YOUR VIBE. WE'LL FIGURE OUT THE REST.

DISCLAIMER: Price varies depending on dates of travel.  Surcharges could apply for premium dates (major holidays)

All of these itineraries can be done as is or used as inspiration for a taylor made journey custom for you and your interests.

Zagreb to Dubrovnik Croatia Epic Road Trip Planning-iovetotravel.info.png

🇭🇷🚐 CROATIA: FROM CAPITAL TO COAST

9 DAYS / 8 NIGHTS | SMALL-GROUP JOURNEY | FROM US$2,757 P.P.

START INLAND. END ON THE ADRIATIC. SEE A HELL OF A LOT OF CROATIA IN BETWEEN.

Start in Zagreb and travel south through Opatija, Istria, Plitvice Lakes, Zadar, Split and Dubrovnik—mixing historic cities, medieval towns, wine country, waterfalls and the Adriatic coast into one seriously good Croatia trip.

This is for the traveler who doesn't want to choose between inland Croatia and the coast. Wander through Rovinj and Motovun, experience the lakes and waterfalls of Plitvice, taste your way toward Dalmatia, then finish among the stone streets and city walls of Dubrovnik.

Grab your people and let somebody else handle the driving and logistics while you concentrate on the important stuff: seeing Croatia, eating Croatia and drinking Croatia.

ONE COUNTRY. A WHOLE LOT OF DIFFERENT CROATIA. 🇭🇷

🇭🇷 CLASSIC CROATIA: ZAGREB, SPLIT & DUBROVNIK

9 DAYS | CUSTOM PRICING

THREE CITIES. TWO NATIONAL PARKS. ISLANDS. ONE DAMN GOOD INTRODUCTION TO CROATIA.

Start in Zagreb, then head toward the Adriatic with a stop at the turquoise lakes and waterfalls of Plitvice Lakes National Park.

Spend three nights in Split, using the city as your base for some of the best experiences on the Dalmatian coast — Blue Cave, Hvar and the Pakleni Islands, plus Krka National Park and medieval Šibenik.

Then finish with three nights in Dubrovnik, where you'll explore the Old Town before spending a day island-hopping through the Elaphite Islands.

WHY I LIKE THIS ONE:
You get the Croatia everybody comes to see without joining a group and without doing all the driving yourself.

Private transfers handle the big moves. You get picked up, your luggage comes with you, and somebody else figures out how the hell you're getting from Zagreb to Split to Dubrovnik.

You still get great experiences along the way — but the vacation is yours.

THE LOGISTICS ARE HANDLED. YOU GO ENJOY CROATIA. 🇭🇷

KVARNER BAY ISLANDS CRUISE-8 DAYS / 7 NIGHTS | SMALL-SHIP CRUISE-UNPACK ONCE | WAKE UP ON

🇭🇷🚢 KVARNER BAY ISLANDS CRUISE

8 DAYS / 7 NIGHTS | SMALL-SHIP CRUISE | REQUEST A QUOTE

UNPACK ONCE. WAKE UP ON A DIFFERENT CROATIAN ISLAND.

Start in Opatija and spend eight days island hopping through Krk, Rab, Zadar, Molat or Olib, Ilovik, Mali Lošinj and Cres—with swim stops, medieval towns, hidden coves and some seriously beautiful Adriatic water along the way.

And here's the part that might convert even the road-tripper: you don't have to figure out the ferries, change hotels or repack the damn suitcase every two days. Get back onboard, have a drink, go to sleep and let somebody else take you to the next island.

This is small-ship Croatia—not a giant floating resort. It's about getting into smaller ports, swimming from the boat and experiencing a string of islands that would take considerably more planning to piece together on your own.

Think you’re not a cruise person?

Neither am I.

But I’m doing this exact itinerary within the next five years.

Opatija. Krk. Rab. Zadar. Lošinj. Cres.

One damn good way to island hop Croatia.
